Common ocular pathogens; How to diagnose and where qPCR can fit in
During his presentation James will briefly re-cap ocular anatomy, the immune response and why the eye, as an organ, is slightly different. Frequently encountered ocular pathogens will be reviewed and the importance of appropriate sampling, in addition to selection of the right diagnostic test will be discussed.
Accurate sampling and result interpretation are key to the implementation of targeted treatment, facilitating improved patient outcomes. A short question and answer session will follow to reinforce key points.
